Esther Akhigbe
Founder
Esther Akhigbe is the Founder and Executive Director of the Meireer Education Foundation (MEF). She established MEF as a way to give back to society after earning her Master of Laws (LL.M) in International Human Rights Law from the University of Notre Dame. Today, she leads MEF’s mission to change the world through education, one child at a time.
Under her leadership, MEF supports 93 children across 8 communities with scholarships, learning materials, mentorship, and development programs that open doors to brighter futures. Esther’s work reflects her deep commitment to educational equity, child protection, and community empowerment.
