Amarachi’s father works as a security guard, while her mother had a thriving business that collapsed after a major surgical operation in 2017, forcing her to wash clothes for people to make ends meet. Due to these hardships, Amarachi’s siblings were sent to live with her mother’s brothers, while Amarachi stayed with her parents. Amarachi loves school wholeheartedly. Her mother shared with MEF that they have struggled to pay her fees and provide for her, and this scholarship is a heaven-sent relief from their difficulties. Amarachi also told MEF that she dreams of becoming a medical doctor and will make the most of this opportunity to continue her education.
