As the fifth of fifteen children, Usman had to grow up relatively fast. He said he wants to be able to always take care of his 10 younger siblings and set good examples for them to follow. With both parents currently unemployed, life has been incredibly hard and there were times he often thought he would have to drop out of school, but he wouldn’t have to worry about that now, he said with gratitude and sheer delight. After school and on weekends, Usman is currently learning how to repair vehicles as a mechanic. However, his ultimate goal is to become an accountant.
